This morning, the volunteers teams from Skerries Coast Guard and Skerries RNLI got together for an informal meet and greet training session. The purpose of the event was for both sides to discuss rescue equipment, expertise and rescue methods. A short briefing was given by both sides on their respective rescue kit followed by some practical demonstration.
All who attended found this to be a very worthwhile exercise. further practical joint training is scheduled to take place in the near future. Skerries Coast Guard crew would like to thank the crew of Skerries RNLI for the opportunity to visit their station and meet with them.
